Jennifer Natalya Pritzker (1950 - )

​The first and only openly transgender billionaire, Jennifer Natalya Pritzker is an American investor and philanthropist. An heir to the Hyatt Hotels fortune, Pritzker attained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel during her 11 years of active duty in the U.S. Army. She also spent 16 years in the Army Reserves and Illinois National Guard. A lifelong philanthropist, she founded the Tawani Foundation, dedicated to improving the quality of life of military personnel and to championing the importance of the “Citizen Soldier.” An extremely private person, she changed her name from James to Jennifer in 2016, explaining that the name change is a true representation of who she truly is.
