Known professionally as Young Miko (she/her) María Victoria Ramírez de Arellano Cardona is a Puerto Rican rapper, singer, songwriter, and former soccer player who is rapidly becoming an international sensation. Young Miko is reshaping urbano music for a new generation, blending Latin American genres through an unapologetically queer lens that celebrates her life as a proud Puerto Rican lesbian. Before turning to music, Young Miko played for Puerto Rico’s U17 and U20 national teams as a right back and defensive midfielder.  She broke into the industry with her hit 2022 EP Trap Kitty, and her rise since then has been meteoric: opening for Bad Bunny and Billie Eilish, charting on the Billboard Hot 100, and earning a Grammy nomination. She has also fronted Spanish‑language ads for Gap’s global “Sweats Like Us” campaign, further cementing her cultural reach. Young Miko’s life and lyrics speak directly to women—something rare and often discouraged in the male‑dominated world of Latin music. Her storytelling and global visibility are empowering fans everywhere.
